2004 news article about the new Kenyan-born hopeful senator from Illinois

Do you think this is what Donald Trump is saying these days? He has come under media criticism for claiming that President Obama has not presented a government-recognized, valid birth certificate--you know, the kind that we have to produce to get our passports.

Take note of the date of the above article (2004), which the media published when Obama was running for Senate in Illinois. They themselves claimed he was "Kenyan-born."

It appears that Donald Trump has taken them at their word, and the media now doesn't like it.
